In the indoor golf news this week. The venue previously called Ghetto Golf had closed in July for refurbishment. They have now re-opened the 18-hole golf course located in Birmingham’s, The Custard Factory as the newly named Golf Fang.
This is an amazing indoor golf venue, and some of the holes are truly memorable! They have a Jeremy Kyle themed room, along with a sex shop and even a men’s toilet.
Co-Founder of Big Fang Kip Piper told Charlie Case for Secret Birmingham “Digbeth has always been extremely welcoming to our brand and there’s a great atmosphere. The refurbishment will feature some brand-new experiential elements and new courses. We can’t wait to see everybody interact with the updated space and we’re excited to celebrate with everybody!”
We wish you all the best for the re-opening, we are sure it will be a huge success!

A new £1million tourist attraction is close to opening for the first time, Noah’s Park Adventure Golf has been installed at Barleylands in Billericay. They will offer visitors the opportunity to play 18 holes of crazy golf.
One of the stand-out features will be the huge Noah’s Ark which golfers will be able to walk inside and complete one of the holes.
This sounds amazing, and I’m sure it will be a big hit to the South Essex community. Good luck!

As reported in Bloomberg this week boozy lunches are returning to London and indoor golf venues are seeing a benefit. One of the venues who have seen a benefit from this was Swingers the Crazy Golf Club based in London. This was interesting to indoor golf news.
“Because people might only be coming to the office two or three days a week, there is now a greater importance on those social events that get everyone together and foster human connections,” said Matt Grech-Smith, Swingers’ chief executive officer. “I think businesses are holding more social events than they used to in order to get their teams together outside the office environment.”
Let’s hope this is a trend that is being seen in other locations across the country. What about your business, have you seen any post-pandemic changes to customer behaviour as things begin to return to normal?

An exciting new high tech mini golf experience has opened this week in Dudley making the indoor golf news. Putt Above uses projection technology where all games are played on the same hole. They use visuals which project the images onto ‘lanes’. Arcade style games such as hook-a-duck, darts, and hot potato. Also serving food and drinks (with some fun looking cocktails) they have already had sold out nights!
Speaking to Bev Holder in the Stourbridge News project manager Luke Beddall said: “We came up with the idea for a projection mapped mini golf experience during lockdown.
“With the entire country doing so much online, including working, attending school, and importantly socialising, we knew that when the time came people would be itching to get out and enjoy themselves again.
“Mini golf has proven to be incredibly popular in the last few years, but we wanted to bring something brand new to the experience – with an added 1920’s themed twist.”
We love this creative spin on the mini golf concept and are sure it will be a huge success. You’ll find them at The Waterfront at Merry Hill.
